Security Consulting

SOM Data Security serves as security consultants for the School of Medicine. Ever-evolving security and compliance requirements can be confusing and frustrating if you don't know the lingo or what's required of you. External Security Requests

Do you manage an application or system that hosts external data or is shared with outside entities? If so, these organizations may periodically request your unit or department complete a security questionnaire. They often ask for information about UCSF policies, procedures, or IT technologies that are beyond your scope or control. Sometimes the questions can be confusing or ask for evidence, but we can help answer these questionnaires and even work with the requesting entity to ensure adequate completion.
